The gardens of prominent, wealthy and educated people on all continents have always been a reflection of the owner's taste, a presentation of the most modern architecture and a mirror of the culture of the time. It was no different in the gardens of the Pressburg / Bratislava nobility and prominent bourgeoisie or musicians. Depending on their size, these gardens were often a place of social life - walks, endless debates, caresses of couples in love hiding in green labyrinths, but also festivals, celebrations, marriages, games and, in good weather, joint music-making and open-air concerts.
Bratislava has seen many musical personalities during its existence. Some of them were natives of Bratislava, some of them lived here all their lives, others were only guests during social events or came to please the Bratislava audience at the invitation of their friends. Each of them, however, left their mark here.
During this tour, we'll show you gardens that a select few musicians and composers are associated with. Join us and discover with us the well-known and lesser-known gardens and their stories.
